We’re so glad to offer you a simple, quick way to verify your child’s enrollment and your payment preferences for the coming school year.

Your child’s enrollment verification will be available online on Friday, January 31st, and must be submitted by Friday, February 14th in order to reserve their place at Holy Comforter for the 2025-2026 school year.

What is Open Enrollment?

You signed the Continuous Enrollment Contract, which will remain in effect until your child graduates from Holy Comforter—no need to sign another one. Each year during Open Enrollment, you’ll be informed of any updates to the contract and have the opportunity to notify the school if your plans or circumstances have changed.
When is Open Enrollment this year?

January 31 - February 14, 2025
What do I need to do during Open Enrollment?

Log into the HCES website and look for the yellow banner announcing Enrollment Verification(s) to review. For each child, you will select a tuition payment plan, and pay a $250 non-refundable deposit. That’s it, you’re done! Remember, this deposit is applied to your 2025-2026 tuition.
If we won’t be returning to HCES in 2025-2026, how should I notify the school?

Before or during Open Enrollment, send an email to the admissions office stating that your child will not be returning to HCES for the 2025-2026 school year and include the official withdrawal date (May 23, 2025). Please email: mwilson@hces.org and copy iengelbreacht@hces.org
How much is tuition next year?

You received an email from the Board with various links, including the Financial Schedule for 2025-2026. You can also log into the website and look on the Resources page for a link labeled “Contract Informational Links”. You’ll find links to any documents you might need, including the Financial Schedule, Student Handbooks, Dewar’s Tuition Refund Plan pamphlet, Truth in Lending Statement, and more. If you can’t find something, reach out to the admissions office at 850-383-1007 or mwilson@hces.org.
What about unique circumstances? Though I had planned to keep my kids at HCES through middle school graduation, I've had a major life change/circumstance and Open Enrollment is now closed. What do I do?

We have built flexibility into the Continuous Enrollment Contract. So, for major life changes/unique circumstances, you will contact the admissions office and will be guided to make a request to the Board of Trustees to be released from your contract. These requests are decided on a case by case basis.
What if I am behind on my account?

All accounts must be kept current to receive an Enrollment Verification, a guaranteed grade level placement, or records. HCES reserves the right to not guarantee your grade level placement if there is an outstanding balance. Tuition assistance will only be awarded when accounts are current.
I am enrolling a sibling of a currently enrolled student. What do I need to do?

As part of the first-time enrollment process for all new students, you will complete a continuous enrollment contract for the new student, after they have been accepted, indicating that you are enrolling your child at HCES until they graduate or notify us otherwise. Each student will have their own Continuous Enrollment contract.
Is there a penalty if I cancel my Continuous Enrollment Contract and then decide to enroll later?

Families who decide to cancel their contract and later decide to enroll, must contact the Admission Office for space availability. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a grade level seat for a student unless an Enrollment Verification Form has been completed during Open Enrollment (1/31/2025-2/14/25).
I’m applying for Tuition Assistance, what do I need to do?

- If you have not applied in the past, please contact Meghan Wilson at: mwilson@hces.org.
- If you are concerned about the amount of assistance, please ask Meghan about including a Contingency statement in your Enrollment Verification Form.

Tuition Assistance Information

Holy Comforter Episcopal School offers tuition assistance to families based on demonstrated need. No scholarships for academics, athletics, or the arts are given. We do not participate in any state or federal scholarship programs. Students must be accepted and committed to the school before a tuition award will be made. The application for assistance is online with SSS (School & Student Assistance Services), formally known as SSS. Click here for additional information about the SSS program.

25/26 Tuition Assistance Letter

Dear Holy Comforter Families,

Holy Comforter Episcopal School has partnered with SSS School & Student Services(formerly known as TADS) to conduct financial need assessments for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Important Information:
• The application process is confidential, and all applications are evaluated using the same criteria by SSS.
• A new application is required each year for families seeking tuition assistance.
• SSS charges a $60 nonrefundable fee for application processing and financial analysis.
• Assistance awards are based on demonstrated financial need as determined by SSS. However, this does not guarantee a specific award amount from Holy Comforter. Our Tuition Assistance Committee uses this data as a guide when making award decisions.
• Full tuition assistance is not available, as our goal is to support as many families as possible with available funds.

New Requirement for 2025/2026:
SSS now requires that both parents apply for tuition assistance. If parents are separated, divorced, or were never married, each parent must complete a separate tuition assistance application. If either parent has remarried, the stepparent's financial information should also be included.

Application Deadline: February 28, 2025
Applications must be submitted to SSS with all required documentation by February 28, 2025.

Families who submit a complete application by the deadline can expect a response regarding potential tuition assistance in early April.

Before tuition assistance can be awarded, families must submit the HCES Continuous Contract or Enrollment Verification Form. The Tuition Assistance Committee will not review incomplete applications. Given the increasing number of applicants and families on waitlists, timely submission is essential. Late applications may still be considered, but available funds may be limited.

3. Follow the prompts and make your selections.
4. Review, submit the form, and pay and submit the deposit.
5. Repeat the process for each child enrolled at HCES.
